FRICODA is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation based in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon. We work to build resilient, empowered, and self-sustaining communities across the North West Region through six integrated programmes in health, empowerment, environment, education, governance, and communication.
We were built on a simple but radical belief: the most powerful force in development is a community that believes in itself. We don't arrive with answers. We arrive with partnership, with resources, and with the conviction that lasting change always comes from within.
To empower marginalised communities in the North West Region of Cameroon through integrated, community-led programmes in health, empowerment, environment, education, governance, and communication — building the foundations for lasting change from within.
A North West Region of Cameroon where every community is resilient, self-governing, and able to determine its own future — with access to health, education, economic opportunity, clean environment, and strong civic institutions.
Friendship — Partnership — Dignity — Inclusion — Accountability — Courage. We don't arrive with answers. We arrive with friendship — and together we build what lasts.
Funding, trained staff, community partnerships, local knowledge and trust
Health outreach, skills training, tree planting, civic education, school programmes, media
People reached, trees planted, leaders trained, communities served, materials distributed
Better health, higher incomes, stronger governance, restored forests, empowered women
Resilient, self-governing communities living with dignity, equity and opportunity
“IF vulnerable communities gain access to health, education, economic opportunity, environmental knowledge, civic skills, and communication — THEN they will develop the agency to drive their own lasting development.”
